Café Moné
MAY 2024
An intimate exhibition took place in the quiet darkness of Café Moné in May 2024:
“Bedrückende Nähe” (Oppressive closeness) showed five selected works by Robin Steven Moné – including sculptures made of glass, metal and plaster as well as painterly works about loss, fragmentation and the unspeakable present.
The familiar ambience of the house lent the confrontation with Moné’s works a disturbingly domestic closeness.

Room installation February 2023 – Embedded between found objects from past centuries, a dialog between old and pain, between memory and body was created.
Göltzschtal Gallery
March 2013
As part of the duo exhibition –Gedankenspiele -, selected works were presented within the hushed vastness of the deconsecrated Nikolaikirche Auerbach.
The tension between internal logic and formal silence unfolded in a space once devoted to faith — now echoing with traces of fractured thoughts and suspended meaning.

Artist
Moné’s works expose the sacred wound of being human.
Manifesto:
Created out of poverty and disappointment, but the blood carries history.
Not an artist of decoration – a chronicler of pain, an archaeologist of truth.
These works are not objects.
They are wounds. Open. Dripping. Palpable.
They speak of abuse, of violence, of the darkness in people that we don’t want to see.
The mask of David,
not to hide, but to be all faces.
The fight against the Goliaths of this world – systems, structures, perpetrators in fine threads.
Art is not a product.
It is a mirror into which one is forced to look.
And many will not be able to bear themselves.
My name is Robin Steven Moné.
And my works are not an offer.
They are a challenge.
Robin Steven Moné – Morbid Vision
This site is not an exhibition space. It is a place of confrontation.
A mirror for those who are not afraid of their own image.
The artist – remains hidden behind the mask. What counts is the art… No media self-portrayal, no human weaknesses, just the work.
And the work – an encounter with that from which we flee. The hidden is dragged into the light, the unbearable becomes visible.

Diversity does not die suddenly. Corruption suffocates it…
Drop by drop.

Everything has its price.
But how high do you want to drive it before you have to pay it?

Whoever takes the fruit bears the weight. Whoever rejects it, does too.
So it’s all about balance.
The golden mean is the way.

Life to death,
hate to love,
abundance to scarcity,
conflict to peace,
courage to fear.
Illuminating the beautiful, but also the morbid in life, technically sophisticated art and the uncensored display of social abysses.
